They say you can tell a lot about a woman with what is in her purse. Let's put that to the test... here is what is in mine.
I have a leather, fringe-hanging, hip-hanging, brown purse. It has no embellishments, and it matches my moccasins. Simple. Fun. And useful for many things. Inside are the contents listed:
1 pack of Extra gum (one piece left)
1 tube of Cicapair eye concealer (almost empty)
1 Nikon Coolpix AW130 camera (full battery)
1 Glasses case (glasses and contact case)
1 Kiss magnetic eyelash glue (doubles as eyeliner)
2 Mascara from the Mile High Club (almost empty)
1 Wine/Bottle opener
1 Chapstick O'Keeffe's Lip Repair
1 Pair of tweezers (looks like a lady in a 50's dress)
1 Cracked circle mirror with 3x magnification
1 Ally pill case (aspirin)
1 Pro conceal
1 Burt's Bees salve
1 Alto Vape charger
1 Mike's Hard cap
2 Fifty-cent pieces and 21cents in random change
1 Wallet
1 Charger
2 Pieces of random trash (water bottle and gum)
What's usually in there that is missing, is a water bottle.
Now let's Google what that says about me, according to Good House Keeping Home,
"What the Inside of Your Purse Says About You"
Apparently, there are seven different kinds of purse weirdos... they are:
The Minimalist: Wallets, phones, headphones, and sunscreen.
These people: prefer no-nonsense, clean car, clean desk, realist, honest, and they know what they want. At a restaurant they prefer small dishes over heavy meals and are first to order.
Hopeless Hoarder: Phone, sunglasses, phone charger, gum, water bottle, wrappers, candy, ChapStick, and perhaps items you forgot you might own.
These people: feel they are behind on their chores, but it's okay because they have so many different multi-tasking responsibilities. They try to make others happy and have empathy. They dislike new music but love new foods. They would wear more jewelry, but it always gets lost.
Beauty Aficionado: Makeup to the hilt. Phone, sunglasses, lipstick, lip gloss, foundation, eyeliner, sunscreen, mascara, lip balm, and perfume.
These people: Bath and Body Works were your favorite stocking stuffers. Cat person. Easily makes eye contact with strangers and greets with a smile. Messy bedroom, although not dirty, just unorganized. Good memory.
Fancy & Flustered: Everything from Beauty Aficionado with a busted bronzer.
These people: Have close friends that keep inside jokes. Over-do-it on holiday shopping. Hate checking your email. Adventurous cook, lighting the stove on fire in the process.
Prepared for anything: Wallet, gloves, notebook, pen, tissues, baby wipes, keys, earbuds, charger, book, Tide To-Go Pen.
These People: Hair tie on wrist. People come to you for party planning. Planned for the Murphy Law. Well organized. Scatterbrained.
Always Connected: Phone, tablet, earbuds, watch, charger.
These people: Always on some sort of media or phone. Current on world happenings, music, and politics. Speak before thinking but apologize if you offend.
The Artiste: Pen, pencil, ca
mera, sketchbook, camera.
These People: Throw caution to the wind when being free, such as dancing in public. Always prepared to create something new with supplies. Didn't care for princess films unless they were in transformation.
I suppose after reading such listings of purse weirdos, I would be the Hopeless Hoarder! I feel like the article from 'Good House Keeping Home' is an inefficient test, that lacks any real study or substance. It was, however, entertaining.
